"Working with DWF made a huge difference. They understood our needs from day one, were always responsive, and tailored our LawVu set up and workflows into something specific and genuinely impactful for us. The result is a much more structured, efficient way of working, with immediate visibility and control that we simply didn’t have before."

When LawVu and DWF partnered in 2025, the goal was clear – combine technology and deep legal operations expertise to help in-house teams deliver better outcomes, and faster. Menzies Aviation is a strong example of that partnership in action.

Operating across more than 350 airports in over 65 countries, Menzies runs a complex, high-volume legal function. But like many global teams, their processes hadn’t kept pace with that scale.

Relying on shared inboxes, spreadsheets, and manual tracking, the team lacked clear visibility into workload, matter types, and external legal spend. Reporting required significant effort,  and still only delivered part of the picture.

Menzies needed a more structured, scalable way to manage legal work – and a combination of purpose-built technology, tailored implementation, and legal ops support to help them get there.

Following multiple successful LawVu customer engagements, DWF has been formally recognized as a LawVu Implementation Partner – reflecting their ability to deliver high-quality implementations and support meaningful operational change.

A proven partnership delivering consistent outcomes

The collaboration between LawVu and DWF is built on a shared focus: delivering real, measurable outcomes for legal teams. Following multiple successful LawVu customer engagements, DWF has been formally recognized as a LawVu Implementation Partner – reflecting their ability to deliver high-quality implementations and support meaningful operational change.

Menzies Aviation is one of several successful transformations delivered through this partnership.

From a partnership’s perspective, this was exactly the kind of engagement we aim for. The implementation moved quickly without compromising on quality, and it was clear throughout that Menzies were in safe and capable hands with DWF. The feedback from the team has been incredibly positive, and ultimately that’s what we’re all working towards – delivering outcomes that genuinely land with the client.Dan Morley, Director of Channel Partnerships at LawVu

In another recent engagement, LawVu and DWF supported a globally recognized sports franchise to modernize their legal operations – implementing legal intake, matter, and spend management, and migrating from a legacy CLM system into LawVu. The result was a more connected, streamlined platform for managing legal work end-to-end.

These engagements highlight what the partnership is designed to do: combine LawVu’s technology and support with DWF’s implementation expertise to deliver tailored, outcome-led transformations for complex legal teams.

A tailored implementation designed for a complex, global legal team

Working collaboratively with LawVu’s customer success team, DWF implemented LawVu’s Matter and Spend Management modules to centralize Menzies’ legal workflows into a single platform.

Delivered in under 14 weeks, the implementation included:

  • Configuration of 30+ matter types to reflect the diversity of legal work
  • Seamless intake from Microsoft Outlook to capture both shared and direct requests
  • Onboarding of external law firms for secure collaboration in LawVu’s LSP portal
  • Centralized invoice submission, review, and approval processes

We’ve loved working alongside LawVu to deliver successful implementations of their platform to our respective clients. As ever, successful technology deployment is all in the planning, the people engagement and the careful approach taken on the journey. Certainly we’re grateful to Menzies Aviation for their dedicated focus on the project and to our LawVu friends for their consistent and reliable support in delivering an excellent service.Emma Roe, Global Head of Legal Operations & Technology Consulting at DWF

Immediate visibility, structured workflows, and data-driven decision making

The impact was immediate.

Before LawVu, we were trying to manage a rapidly growing legal workload through a shared inbox, with very little visibility into what was really coming in or how busy we truly were. LawVu has completely changed that. We now have a single place to manage intake, track matters, and collaborate as a team, with real data at our fingertips.Christine Butler, Group Legal Operations and Technologies, Menzies Aviation

Menzies moved from fragmented processes to a single, connected system for managing matters, workload, and external spend. The legal team gained real-time visibility into demand, clearer allocation of work, and a structured approach to collaboration with outside counsel.

Just as importantly, the team can now access meaningful data – understanding where work is coming from, what types of matters are most common, and how resources are being used.

Beyond efficiency gains, the implementation has laid the foundation for ongoing optimization, enabling the team to continuously improve how legal services are delivered across the business.
