We’ve received a claim from an unhappy customer into the legal inbox. They’re alleging a breach of contract, and they’ve attached a formal notice of claim. Traditionally, someone in legal would need to read this, create a matter, find the contract, set up tasks, assign it, and draft a response. Instead, we’re simply going to forward the email into LawVu. From there, the AI workflow will read the email and any attachments, then set up a matter for us.
Now, let’s jump into LawVu to see what’s been done.
From the hub, you can see that the contractual dispute workflow has completed. Looking at the right-hand side, you can see the steps that have been taken, from inspecting claim details through to assigning tasks, drafting a first cut of an acknowledgment email, and generating a summary for internal stakeholders.
The matter has been assigned and will appear in the intake queue and also here in my recent matters.
Opening it up, the AI workflow hasn’t just created a shell, it’s built out the context, populated key details, and linked the relevant contract directly to the matter.
The fields are populated with information found in the email, claim document, contract record, and anything else in LawVu relevant to the claim.
Clicking over, you can see the tasks that have been created, assigned, and had key dates added.
And because in LawVu, contracts and matters all live in one place, the contract is linked directly to the matter, and opening it up is easy, as is pulling any relevant information from the contract record into the matter.
The files that were included in the email are automatically added to the matter, and draft responses have been added as notes.
