Walkthrough – Insights & reporting

1. The LawVu legal workspace has several out of the box dashboards to make it easier to report, get insights, and show the value of the legal team.

2. Reports are available to you depending on which legal workspace capabilities you subscribe to. These dashboards update in real time as you manage day-to-day work in LawVu.

3. This is an annual wrap up that surfaces insights into how your team and business used the legal workspace. With your mouse, click and drag the scrollbar downward.

4. As we scroll down each dashboard, we get more detail and insights - for example, now we can see our busiest months and most common matter types from 2024. With your mouse, click and drag the scroll bar downward.

5. Here are insights into the activities legal and the business conducted in LawVu. As expected, legal has the most activity. Our business is actively collaborating, using our request portal, contract templates, and approval workflows too!

6. You can easily export and share .pdfs of your reports - simply click Download report to move on.

7. Now let's look at one of the most popular reports in the LawVu legal workspace - click on the General Counsel report.

8. The GC dashboard is a summary of key metrics from all the workflows you are managing in the LawVu legal workspace. With all your data consolidated in one system and one view, you get better insights with less effort. Scroll down to see more.

9. Like most LawVu dashboards, we get more detail as we scroll down the page. Here is a breakdown of matters and contracts by type, with comparisons to previous timeframes to monitor trends There are also risk and complexity scores.

10. Further down the reports is a summary of spend and work with outside counsel, if you use LawVu's spend management capability.

11. Now let's explore the specific reports for matter, contract and spend management. Click Matters.

12. Each dashboard starts with a visual summary of key metrics. In this case, we have total visibility into all the matters, projects, and legal work we have done this year. Scroll down to continue.

13. As we scroll down the page, we can get more insights into the work the team is doing. For example, we have a high volume of contract requests and do most work with the sales and marketing team.

14. It's easy to drill in for more insights and to answer questions. Click the Sales and Marketing bar to find out more about our work for that team.

15. Now the dashboard is filtered so we can see insights about the work in progress and work we've done for sales and marketing this year.

16. In another example, let's click Created Source to see how information is getting into LawVu. This can help us evaluate how the business is engaging legal and using LawVu to create efficiency and visibility.

17. A lot of requests are coming through the LawVu business portal (our legal front door). Work is also being funnelled in from email integrations and Salesforce. Consolidating everything into one place streamlines work and creates structured data.

18. Changing dates ranges to make comparisons, see trends, or report on specific timeframes is also easy. Click 2023.

19. Now the dashboard is showing the summary for last year's work.

20. Click Contracts to explore the reports from the contract lifecycle management solution in the workspace. Note: if you don't subscribe to our CLM this report will not be available. It's so valuable to have all your data in one place!

21. Like all dashboards, this page starts with a summary of key information. You can easily slice, dice and filter. LawVu is a consolidated repository for all contracts for the business -- let's click Department for a view of contracts by team.

22. Now we have a filtered view of the work we are doing for each area of the business, and can drill in further if we like. With your mouse, scroll down.

23. These contract turnaround time reports can help you monitor and set SLAs, collaborate with business teams to get work done, and improve operations.

24. Now let's click Spend to see spend management reports.

25. There are a number of visualizations and reports here to help you control costs, stay on top of invoices, and assess your work with outside counsel. This starts with a good summary.

26. This is another dashboard in the set of spend reports. It's the "fees report," with more detail and insights about costs against budget, per matter, and per LSP or firm. We can easily see we were over budget in March, and drill in further.

27. This is another of our spend reports. It is a centralized view of the LSPs and firms we work with, including region and expertise. It also shows us their activity in the workspace, where they upload invoices to centralize e-billing.

28. Click here to load the "admin" reports. Admin reports provide insights into your use of LawVu across the business.

29. These help you understand and evaluate usage of the legal workspace so you can celebrate wins, drive adoption, and evaluate the impact of technology. Click User Activity.

30. Here we can see what activities are being taken and which departments are engaging and collaborating with legal the most via LawVu. Now click Knowledge Articles.

31. Now we have insights into the usage of our legal knowledge base, which includes help articles, FAQs and templates.

32. We can easily create custom reports using any data fields in the system as well. This is our full matters repository and we can create an unlimited number of custom views and reports. Click My Matters to continue.

35. Now we have a list of just the matters that are on hold. Let's keep customizing! Click the Columns icon.

36. You can easily add any column to your view from here. Drag and drop Due Date to the right-hand column.

37. With your mouse, click and drag Urgent to the right-hand column.

38. Click Apply

39. Click to filter to urgent matters.

40. And select the matters marked as "urgent" with a click of the mouse.

41. Just like that, we have a set of urgent matters and due dates. We can also see urgent matters that have not been routed to someone yet, and the responsible attorney for those that have. So we can triage, assign and check in as needed.

42. Click Save as... to save this as a re-usable view. We c an also export and share it.

43. This is the fully customisable grid and repository for all our contracts, which works just like the matters grid we looked at.

44. There are also fully customizable invoice grids.
